How much is a mint 1965 proof quarter worth?

I found a 1965 quarter and I'm pretty sure it is a proof quarter. It was in a pile of old change, but it still looked very shiny and mirror-like in perfect condition. It also doesn't have a mint mark, so I assume it was minted in Philly.

Anyone know the value of a 1965 proof quarter in mint condit if I have it graded or not?
I don't think you get the concept of "proof" quarter. It is especially made for collectors in a higher grade, sold at a higher price and is not intended for circulation. Somehow I think this one made it into circulation though.

Well I do know what a proof is and they did not make any proof sets in 1965. The last year was 1964 then they started them again in 1968 but at the san Francisco mint (S). The ones up to and including 1964 were struck at the Philadelphia mint and had no mint mark. You may have a buffed coin, look for small scratches in the fields with a magnifier. It could also have been dipped in a chemical. What ever happened to it was done after it left the mint.
