what is a 1908 one cent indian head coin worth?
okay so i found a 1908 one cent indian head coin a few years ago..i found it again in my dresser today..so i was wondering does anyone know how much it is worth?? i mean it has to be worth something it is a LITTLE over 100 yrs old..thanks soooo much in advance...
First of all you have to determine where it was minted. Look on the back side of the penny, if there is a small "S" below the bow on the wreath, it was minted in San Francisco, if there is no letter, it was minted in Philadelphia. Next you need to determine the grade of the penny, this is how good or bad the condition the penny is in. Go to the link below. There is a chart that tells the dates of indian head pennies and what they are worth based on their grade. Below the chart are pictures of indian head pennies in various grades, compare your penny to the pictures to determine you penny's grade, then look at the chart to determine its' approximate worth.
