Can I eat rice crispies if I have a wheat allergy?

I have been avoiding wheat for the past few days since being diagnosed with wheat allergy and was starting to feel less bloated and more energetic. this morning I ate a bowl of rice crispies thinking I could eat them but within half an hour my heart was racing, my ears felt like were under pressure and I felt tiredness descend on me again. the whole day I am back to feeling exhausted. The label on the box says that it contains barley. If I have a wheat allergy does this mean I have to avoid barley? What about rye bread without wheat? Thanks for any answers.
I tested positive for a wheat allergy but have had an endoscopy which ruled out coeliac. Apparently there is a slight difference with the 2 of them.

You can eat them, my 9yr old son has been on a wheat free diet since he was diagnosed with a wheat intolerance when he was 13months old and has always eaten them.
